Get Event Ready With Me | 2017 SWCCF Award Show

Hello beauties,

On Thursday evening the company I work for whisked us away to Bristol to attend the South West Call Centre Forum Award Show which was held at Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol. We were wined and dined, and treated like royalty - of course I had to take lot's of photo's to share with you all and show you how I get ready for an event!

When we arrived at our hotel, Lisa and I headed to our room which was beautiful and hung our evening gowns up and layed out all of our make-up - which took up both of the desk space in our room! We stayed in a 4* Luxury Hotel in Bristol called the Marriott Royal Hotel.

We also shared a bottle of Rose wine between us whilst I helped do Lisa's hair and make-up, I then ran myself a bath using the Intergalactic bath bomb from Lush. I was so relaxed in the bath with a glass of wine I decided to watch some YouTube videos! after my bath I straightened my hair using my GHD hair straighteners and then did a full-face of make-up, I went for a smokey eye look with sparkly silver glitter in the inner corners and a nude lip.

Once ready, we headed down to the bar in the hotel for a drink whilst waiting for our taxi to take us to Ashton Gate, when we arrived, we were greeted with waiters holding trays of champagne and bucks fizz with a DJ, and a photo booth where we all took lot's of photo's. We stayed in the main lobby and met some judges from the awards and lot's of lovely people and managers from other contact centres, we then went into the main VIP venue room where there was over 750 guests, and watched the award show and had a mini-comedy show with Jimmy Carr, a few hours later more into the evening we all went onto the dance floor where we had another live band performance! It was an incredible evening, I had SO much fun and loved every second of it!

We were all told that a celebrity guest would be hosting the award show, and whilst none of our team guessed right, we were all very pleased that our presenter was comedian Jimmy Carr! He was so funny, and we got to meet him when our team went on stage to collect the award!

Sovereign Housing Association won two awards during the evening, the department I work in is the Contact Centre, where I am a Quality Specialist won the award of Contact Centre of the Year and our Planning and Implementing manager Kevin, won an award also of the Support Manager of the Year. I was so proud to be apart of the event and seeing our Contact Centre winning an award, we also had two people shortlisted for an award which was under the categories New Comer of the Year and Trainer of the Year.

I was lucky enough to be invited because my Manager nominated me an award for Support Person of the Year due to all of the work I have done in the past year, and the progress we have made - unfortunately I did not get into the finalist round but I was so proud and happy to have been nominated!
