Dupe Alert | Urban Decay Naked Palettes VS W7 Palettes

Hello beauties,

The Urban Decay Naked palettes have taken over the beauty world for many years now, they are some of the most spoken about palettes, they are known for having beautiful packaging and great pigmentation with colours to suit every skin tone, however as the beauty world grows some drugstore brands are starting to compete with them - hence the W7 palettes which caught my eye by the similarity between the palettes, I have found two dupes for you, so if you want to save some pennies and compare them too, keep on reading!

NAKED ORIGNAL VS W7 LIGHTLY TOASTED
Packaging & Price:

The Naked Palette packaging is my favourite out of the two. Firstly, the packaging feels very high-end and feels very sturdy which is perfect for travelling. The packaging has a velvet texture which does feel very luxurious and it comes with a double-ended brush which is good quality, and has a flat shadier end, and a blending brush at the other.

The W7 Palette packaging is a tin style, and I must admit is not the sturdiest packaging so I would take extra care when travelling with this palette, I think the brush it comes with is very standard for a drugstore palette with a sponge applicator and shadow brush again, a double-ended brush, although I've classed it as a 'basic' brush and I would apply these colours with my MAC brushes, it still does apply the colour fully as you can tell by the swatches. These palettes are very similar in colour both being dark brown with gold writing, both containing 12 neutral eyeshadow colours which are extremely similar.

Urban Decay Naked Palette - RRP £39.50
W7 Lightly Toasted Palette - RRP £3.95

NAKED ORIGNAL VS W7 LIGHTLY TOASTED
Eyeshadow pigmentation / formula:

Here are the swatches of both palettes! I was so excited with every swatch as I was SO shocked at how similar the colours are. I think that the Urban Decay shades are more pigmented and feel quite creamy, whereas the W7 palettes have a bit of a chalky texture however are very pigmented for the price. The glittery shades in both palettes are just as good as one another as well as the darker shades (last two).

NAKED 2 VS W7 COLOUR ME BUFF
Packaging & Price:

These two palettes have very similar packaging, both in the tin style with embossed writing. I have the same opinion with the packaging as the other palettes, the Naked palette is better quality and does feel more sturdy as when the W7 palette arrived two of the colours had fallen out, it was really easy to pop them back into place - but, it just proves you need to be careful when travelling - so bare that in mind if you purchase these palettes. The brushes are again the same as above.

The style of the writing on the palettes are quite different, although they both have raised embossed writing, the colour of the writing and the style is much more different than the Naked original and lightly toasted palettes however, the colour of the palettes are very similar with the tope colour - these are not 100% replicas of each other, but the colour's in the palettes are so similar hopefully for beginners the W7 palettes will benefit you before spending the money on the Naked palettes - as a lover of UD I'm happy to have found the W7 palette as I have hit pan on three shades and can now still complete the same look but by using the W7 colours!

NAKED 2 VS W7 COLOUR ME BUFF
Eyeshadow pigmentation / formula:

Here are the swatches, again lots of similarity between the two palettes and the colour pay off are both good quality. I think the Urban Decay shades again are more creamy and there is more fall off with the W7 palettes - but that can be expected with the price.

Overall I'm really pleased I have discovered W7 as a brand and there palettes, the quality of their shadows and the pigmentation are great for the price and these palettes are perfect for those on a budget or wanting to build up their make-up collection. I am a big fan of UD palettes and will always continue to buy them but I was stunned at for a fraction of the price £35.55 CHEAPER via justmylook it's a no brainer that these palettes are worth the price!

Do you think these palettes are similar?

Would you like to see a make-up look using the W7 palettes?
