Review: June's Birchbox

Hello beauties,

My favourite time of the month has quickly come around again, delivery time! I was really impressed with how quickly I received my BirchBox this month (within 8 days of purchase!) which is always a perk - as I am impatient from the moment my email says 'dispatched.' I have been subscribed to BirchBox since January and this month I became a VIP.BirchBox is a monthly subscription service which deliver 5 luxe make-up, skincare or hair care items to your door each month all for £12.95 (Inc. P&P) so basically, a gift from me to me every month, why? because, us girls deserve a pick me up pamper treat.

Contents inside my June BirchBox:

This month BirchBox sent all their subscribers a limited edition Birch bag to introduce the Summer season - this is perfect for popping all my beauty essentials in when traveling, and super stylish. The BirchBox theme this month is inspired by the beautiful beach huts in Brighton (somewhere I really want to visit this Summer!) I was really pleased to see our products in something different, and it's kind of like an extra treat... who says no to freebies?!

I am in love with the contents inside my box this month, tailored completely for a beauty obsessive like myself. Firstly, like all subscribers I received a full size Brow Liner worth £12.99 which I was happy with and I've seen the sneak peak for July which is a Benefit multi-purpose make-up treat, so guess who's already excited for July? ME!!

1. MeechNMia Brow Liner #022 | Full Size RRP £12.99

This month our full size gift which we all received I'm a fan of! I recently moved away from brow liners/pencils to powders but this reminded me of how much I love quickly doing my brows and having them fuss-free. The colour pay off is good quality and it does the job! The pencil is soft and applies with ease. Can I just mention, this product alone is worth the price of my monthly subscription - how amazing! PLUS, 4 more products and a free bag!

2. Ecotools Perfecting Blender Duo | Full Size RRP £9.99

Yay! I got another full size item in this month's box again I was very happy with this item. This make-up sponge claims to be perfect for applying foundation and concealer and providing high coverage. The shape of the blender's are perfect for getting into the smaller areas of your face to apply product. They are made from 70% plant-based materials which allows them to buff the product into your skin for precise coverage - I'm very excited to try this out more and compare it to my beauty blender.. as it could be a good dupe!

3. Cowshed Cow Pat Hand Cream | Full Size RRP £8

As if I haven't been spoilt already with my gorgeous subscription box I received my third full size item - which is a very moisturizing and softening hand-cream, I have always seen the brand Cowshed stacked on the shelves in John Lewis but I've never purchased anything from there before. I always think hand creams are quite 'average' however this has left my hands feeling super soft, the smell is quite strong initially but not too overpowering and it's a perfect handbag size of 50ml, which is again a very generous sample. It's already in my handbag so it gets a yes from me!

4. Scrub Love Coffee Body Scrub | RRP from £11.95

I am really intrigued by this scrub, I have heard of this brand before on social media but never tried it myself. This product is made from 100% natural ingredients, exfoliates the skin and delivers more of an energy boost than your morning coffee (I wouldn't know - as all I drink is tea, water or green tea but if it works, it sounds impressive!) This can be used to buff away your dead skin cells and hydrates the skin.

5. Estee Lauder Micro-Algae Pore Minimizing Shake Tonic | RRP £21

I have noticed in recent months the brands are just getting better, I was really impressed with the Benefit goodie and Bobbi Brown masks which I received in a recent box and now BirchBox have upped their game to Estee Lauder treats! This product is a skincare item which has a unique clay-in tonic formula which refreshes the skin and minimises pores whilst the clay absorbs excess oil and reduces shin.

Lot's of girlies reached out to me this month to take advantage of my £5 off voucher code for your first box and Annie, a follower of my blog decided to tell us her thoughts on her first BirchBox which she received for only £7.95 with my code! If you would like my code (because how can you not want to join in receiving all these make-up bits!), please message me with your email address.

Annie's Box:

"Thank you so so much for recommending this to me, this is my first BirchBox and I'm in love already, excited to try these products and get the next one"

Are you subscribed to any beauty boxes, if so which ones? I'd love to know!
