Fake Tanning Routine using Rose & Caramel Range | Review & My Results

Hey everyone! I am so excited to be sharing this blog post with you all. As you'll know if you've followed my blog for a while now, I have tried my fair share of tans from different brands and reviewed them on here as well. However, since November I have stuck to one brand only which I discovered from an Instagram Blogger. I then checked out the brand's Instagram page and there was so many amazing before and afters and reviews so I decided to order some to try myself! It's safe to say, I'm massively impressed by their range and after testing the majority of their products, I think it's time for a review from myself and to let you know about the tanning range I'm using! (I get asked this question a lot over on my Instagram and have had lot's of DM's asking me to do a post) so what better time to do it, than when the brand themselves messaged me to create a short video of my tanning routine - so I thought I would do what I do best, and write a blog post too and you can also check out my step-by-step video guide on my Instagram highlights and also on Rose and Caramels Instagram story! Now, let's get into the reviewing the range!

Which tans have I tried from their range and LOVE?

I have actually tried three of their tans - Velvety Mousse, Intensity Mousse and Nudity Aerosol. I like to do one layer of Velvety and one layer of Intensity on my body as the mixture of these two tans give the perfect end result. The Velvety tan is the first tan from their range I tried, and it looks amazing alone (this is the tan I'm wearing in my tanning routine guide and also in the pictures above) their luxurious deep and dark olive tanning foam. From researching this product more on their website, it says that Velvety is made with the highest quality hydration technology to create the easiest application (it honestly glides on so easily, literally like velvet) and to give long lasting results. The tans from this range personally last 5 days to a week for me - as long as I exfoliate, prep and moisturise my skin daily for maximum results. Tanning is a commitment I do every week! The Velvety Mousse has a green undertone which allows the layering of the product with ZERO orange tones - occasionally I will choose to just do 2 layers of Velvety. But my personal favourite routine at the moment, is one layer Velvety and one layer Intensity - I know I've mentioned Nudity Aerosol - but keeping reading, I'll talk more about that tan shortly! Okay... so now, let's speak about the Intensity Mousse. This was a game changer in my tanning routine. Intensity is a bold and bronzed tanning foam which provides the most unreal tan - again, like the formulation as Velvety it is made with the highest hydration technology! This tanning foam has been formulated with red undertones to eliminate dullness and lift skin tones. I love seeing the results of my tan the following day (I apply my tan in the evenings and wash off the following morning. TOP TIP - pat your skin dry after a showering off the guide layer!)  This tan once developed leaves a deep bronzed colour and on top of Velvety is my fave combo which I discovered from IG blogger Chloe Adair (thank you Chloe for introducing me to this tanning routine I absolutely love it!)

Next up, I want to talk about the Nudity Aerosol tan as that is also apart of my tanning routine. I use this tan on my face, you can use it on your body too! I found something new out reading their website today - this is the UK's first cream spray tan aerosol. The reason I love this tan for my face is because it's the first tan I've used on my face that doesn't break me out in spots - it doesn't block your pores and gives a golden tan! I lightly spray this onto my face and absolutely love the end result. For those wanting to use it as their tan for body and face this is a good one to use, as it's up to 95% transfer free! This tan is streak free formula, has anti-ageing benefits and fast drying solution - how amazing! Another favourite - it's so easy to use aswell!

Thoughts on their tan removers - bubble bath and shower gel options?

OK - if you are reading this and you fake tan, is one of the struggles you have REMOVING old tan? Because that was my problem - when tan's start to fade and go patchy there's nothing worse than not being able to get it all off, ready to prep and tan again. I tried so many different products, before adding the Purity Self Tan Shower Gel to my basket and I also tried the Purity Self Tan Removing Bubble Bath... these are now an essential in my tanning routine, and I don't know how I managed to tan before without them. Let's start with the shower gel as this is what I've used longer (but saying that, I don't actually have a preference they both work so well - I guess it just depends if you prefer baths or showers) The Purity Self Tan Shower gel is so so so easy to use - simply lather to your body and leave for 3 minutes, before getting into the shower and using exfoliating gloves to wash away your old tan. The old tan glides off so easily, and I find it so gentle too. It has a fruity fragrance (which is not overpowering may I note) and is packed with skin rejuvenating benefits - leaving your skin clean, and ready for you to next tan! Alternatively, they have the bubble bath option - which oh my.... I was so impressed by. A bubble bath (chance to read more pages of my new book) - soak for 20 minutes, and then use the exfoliating gloves to remove my tan? As easy as that... yes it really is! Although, I must mention that I was actually quite sceptical of this product before trying it for myself, I saw it advertised on Instagram ALL OF THE TIME and saw more and more incredible videos and photo's showing the before and afters, and I thought "really, a bubble bath to remove off all your old tan?" Whilst I was still spending 20 whole minutes trying to remove my old tan with 10 different scrubs, 5 different exfoliant gloves and still having patchy tan after and getting nowhere. I'm sure so many people reading this can relate haha! So it's clear to say it does work as I've now tried it and reordered it multiple times. IT IS A GAME CHANGER - it really is as simply as running a bath, pouring in some of the bubble bath and exfoliating off your old tan, whilst watching it fade away. Never again will I use anything else to remove my tan - thank you Rose and Caramel for creating this amazing range. I highly recommend their range of tans, and their tanning removers - either one!

My Tanning Top Tips -
  • REMOVE OLD TAN - I personally use either Purity Bubble Bath or Shower Gel.
  • SHAVE LEGS WITH A SHOWER MOUSSE - using a hydrating mousse to leave skin silky and smooth!
