St Moriz Advanced Pro Formula Express Tan Foaming Water Review

Hey everyone, it's time for another product review, and this time it's a fake tan review. I have reviewed a couple of fake tans over time on my blog, however, I am always keen to keep trying new brands and formulations of tans as I've never been 100% happy with a tan, some have gone patchy, some have left too much shimmer and others have gone orange! I do love tan as it always has our backs to help us look good, bronzed and glowy! I came across this tan from watching three amazing Youtubers Amy Rose Walker, Gemma Louise Miles and Laura Gemma Meachem who discussed this tan and showed their results in their recent videos, after hearing their thoughts I knew I needed to try it as it sounded and looked amazing. And, it definitely did not disappoint!

I have never tried a St Moriz tan before this one, however I was pleasantly surprised by the pricing of their range. It's all very affordable and they have a lot of products. The tan I picked up is called Advanced Pro Formula Express Tan Foaming Water, this tan is a mousse and is clear. I've never tried a tan like this before, so I was worried whether I would have any patches when applying - but it was absolutely fine! There was also NO TRANSFER on my bedding, which is a big win, win! If you are a beginner with fake tan, this would be a good one for you to try too... as it's fuss free, easy to apply, looks super fresh and is a great natural looking tan that goes on evenly too. This tan also starts to develop as quick as in 1 hour, which is amazing and then continues to develop throughout the day/night. I applied it in the afternoon and washed off the next day and was so so pleased with the colour and how it applied, such a lovely bronzed shade, I had no patchiness or streaks on my skin, it is holding up nicely too (it's been on 3 days so far!) I did not have orange hands or feet either, which has been an issue in the last *fake tan fails and mishaps happen to all of us* I think for most of us, we can have a love/hate relationship with fake tan, let's be honest, unless we prep our skin properly and remove excess tan off we will struggle to get it looking really good. I am going to purchase some more bits from St Moriz range as I have heard good things about their exfoliator, tanning mit and moisturiser so once I have perfected my prep/removal stages of the fake tan journey I'll do another post!

I ordered the tan online at Boots as I couldn't find it in any local stores (perhaps as it's still new) and the tan was £10.99 which is very affordable - I used to spend roughly £15 - £25 on a bottle of tan before (depending on brand, and offers on etc) so the price range on this is fantastic! You get 200ml of product in the bottle which I think will last quite some time looking at the amount I used when first applying. I will comment back on the post once I come to the end of the bottle, to advise how many applications I got. It says on the bottle, that the express tanning mousse will slowly fade away evenly after 5-7 days which is promising, and a good amount of time for the tan too last. I tend to tan once to twice a week maximum and exfoliate and fully remove the tan once a week, otherwise you end up being left with tiger bread skin - which is never a good look! I have found the best way to apply is in circular motions, the tan applied great everywhere, I did notice I missed a small part on the edge of my hand though - which I've fixed now... so once it's fully developed just check and then you can fix any areas you've missed (I'll be a pro in no time!)

What I love about this tan compared to others I've tried...

I love that there is a lot of detailed information on the packaging about how it works, and how to apply which is super helpful especially for beginners, or those who are first time using their tan. I also like the fact that it is clear, and doesn't transfer at all onto bedding. It surprisingly doesn't have much of a strong smell either, which I like, as lot's of other tans I've tried have a very strong scent of a biscuit smell (which makes it SO obvious you've tanned!) It also has my boyfriends approval (who has to tan my back) as he said it's easy to apply and no colour pay off transferred onto his hand through the mit and he commented on what a natural tan colour it went after it fully developed too - thanks for the approval babe ;)

Thank you all so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed the post just as much as I enjoyed writing it and reviewing the tan. If you have any product recommendations I should try from St Moriz or some top tanning tips feel free to comment them below, I would love to hear your thoughts! All opinions in this post are my own, as always! I would definitely recommend this tan if you are on the look out for a new one - I am super impressed and will absolutely be buying it again when I run out as it ticks all the boxes for me that I look for in a tan.

Love Em oxo
