Hey everyone, I am really excited to share this post with you all - last year I was OBSESSED with beauty boxes and I know you loved my subscription box reviews so I hope you are pleased to see they are making a comeback! However, I had never tried Glossybox, for the last month or so, I have seen a lot of hype around their Glossybox Advent calendar (which I brought too - oops! If you'd like to see a post about this and a sneak peak behind some of the doors let me know!) so I did my research and friends who have a subscription to Glossybox for their review and I decided to give it a whirl for their October box. This month's Glossybox is a special Angel or Devil edition, which is Halloween inspired, the one I received was the Angel box. This box features ALL full size products from brands such as, Stylondon, Lord & Berry, MCoBeauty and Que Bella. If you want to see what I got - keep reading to see me unbox each item!
Maximatte Lipstick Crayon by Lord & Berry (shade - Angelic Pink) | RRP £15
The first product I spotted was a FULL SIZE Lord & Berry Maximatte Lisptick Crayon in the shade Angelic pink. I like the feel and finish of this, however the colour is not something I would usually opt for. However, I think mixing it with a slightly darker nude I could make it work! The colour pigmentation is very strong and it is hydrating on your lips as it is formulated with hydrating Vitamin E and applies very easily and smoothly to your lips leaving a matte finish. You can also line your lips first with these lipstick crayons before applying fully over your lips to really define and shape your lips. I am a fan of the context of these, so will definitely be checking which other shades they do! The shade in the Devil box was such a gorgeous red! This product retails at £15 (which already is MORE than the cost of the box and shipping altogether... and we still have 5 products to go, YAY!)
Eyeshadow Palette by Stylondon (shade - Velvet Touch) | RRP £15
I was so impressed to see another FULL SIZE item in this box, and this time it is an eyeshadow palette by Stylondon in the shade Velvet Touch. This palett features 9 highly-pigmented shades and the colours are absolutely stunning and so wearable! I will be putting this palette straight in my make up bag as it's perfect for Autumn/Winter make up looks. I also wanted to point out, from the information on the card we get to describe the products - this palette is a cruelty-free vegan formula! How stunning are these shadows? The value for this palette is £15 which is an amazing price. It's crazy the value of these two products being £30 already and the box was £10 plus P&P - insane!!!
Eye Define Crayon eyeliner by MCoBeauty | RRP £15
I haven't worn eyeliner in years, so I was excited by this product! Again, we are on to another FULL SIZE item - this subscription box is INCREDIBLE. I am SO impressed. This is an Eye Define Crayon Liner by Model Co Beauty - it's a creamy formula which applies so effortlessly and will allow you to create the perfect wing for your eye looks this Autumn. It's also highly pigmented, and a smudge proof formula to last all day long - P E R F E C T. If you love eyeliner, you'll be pleased to know it has a precise tip to make application super easy!
Illuminating Holographic Peel off Mask by Que Bella | RRP £2.49
I am obsessed with trying face masks, as in Autumn/Winter I live for cosy nights in, with the candles on, your favourite PJ's, mug of hot chocolate and films on... a face mask just makes the perfect addition to give you that cosy night in. The face mask in the Angel Edit box is the Illuminating Holographic Peel off Mask. I'm so excited to be trying this later on tonight so I'll let you know my thoughts. However, the description says from using this luxurious peel off mask you maintain a bright and luminous complexion. It helps to moisture, improve skin tone and plumps your skin.
Foaming Bath Powder - Angel Dust by Bubble T Cosmetics | RRP £4.99
The next product is again, perfect for a cosy Autumn evening in and it is from Bubble T Cosmetics - I have tried a few things from their range and loved them. This is, yes you guessed it, ANOTHER full sized item, and it's their Angel Dust Foaming Bath Powder. You sprinkle this into your bath as the water is running! This has a delicate scent and having a nice long soak in the bath is a perfect way to relax your body and your mind.
Luxury White Hot Chocolate by Whittard Chelsea | RRP £2
We are onto the last treat of the box... how unreal has everything been so far?! I think I have saved the best extra treat for last, they have included an indulgent yummy Luxury White Hot Chocolate from Whittard Chelsea in this month's box. OK, so my plan for this evening is a bubble bath using the Angel Foaming Bath Bath Powder, with my Illuminating face mask and finishing off with a film and drinking this delicious hot chocolate. We received a 20g sachet which was worth £2 but you can purchase the full size (350g) here it would cost you £8.
The total value of the items in the box comes to OVER £50. The Glossybox costs £10 + £3.25 P&P (UK) I am totally impressed with this box, my very first box from Glossybox and I loved EVERY single item - and for the price of the subscription box to the value of the contents you receive is very worth while purchasing. I cannot wait for the November box already! If you are subscribed to Glossybox let me know in the comments what your favourite product was! Thank you Glossybox for designing this incredible box - I absolutely LOVED it.
Speak to you all in my next post - lot's of amazing new content coming this month.
I hope you all enjoyed reading!
Love Em oxo
