I have been getting my hair done with the same hairdresser for about 9 years now and only ever changed my hair colour / cut a couple of times. However, before my appointment I was thinking about going much blonder as previously I have gone for more of an ash blonde and it has looked more natural, leaving my natural light brown mixed in with the colour. As you can see from my before photo below. I discussed the colour I wanted to achieve with my hairdresser and we discussed a few options, but went with a full head of blonde highlights and focusing on lifting the darker shades of blonde. I always have a toner put on after, so it stops your hair going brassy and then I had it dried, straightened and cut into a block style. I have some long layers now which are almost at the length of my hair, so those were tided up alongside having some of the thickness taken out so my hair is easier to style!

Ahhh! I am so pleased with the outcome. My hairdresser really listened to what I wanted and I am over the moon with how my hair looks. It's honestly the blondest it's ever been and I know as I continue to get my hair done more regularly the colour will just keep getting better and better. I've already booked my next appointment and can't wait to see how much blonder my hair will go. If you'd like a post then too just let me know! I sometimes wish every time I need my hair washed I could get it done professionally - the head massage is always the best part, wouldn't you agree?!
Here are a few photo's of the day having my hair done, and the following evening when I was out for dinner so you can see how my hair is looking. I am so happy with how it's turned out!! A special shout out to my fantastic hairdresser Calley for doing an amazing transformation for me. You are my hair goddess!
I hope you enjoyed reading this post - I find my hair update posts are always so popular with my audience so of course I wanted to share it with you all. I do also have a few questions/recommendations I need so please let me know in the comments …
