Halloween Tutorial - Jewelled Skeleton

Hey everyone, welcome back to another post. As it is HALLOWEEN today I wanted to share a look I have created this year - it was very inexpensive to create too - everything is from ASDA! If you are looking for Halloween inspiration if you have any events upcoming this weekend hopefully this post, or one of my previous looks (search "Halloween") on the search bar of my blog to see the other looks I have created in the past will give you some ideas! There is so much inspo on Instagram and Youtube too! To create this look I brought the wig, a pair of Ardell demi wispies lashes, and vampire face paint/jewel kit from ASDA. I managed to get everything for under £15 - bargain!! I then used make up products from my make up bag to create the rest of the look.

CREATING THE LOOK:

I did my skincare routine first - as I knew I'd be using both make up and face paints and wanted to protect my skin first! I then applied my tinted moisturiser all over my face, blending in with my buffed foundation brush. I then did my brows, added some concealer and then opened up my face paint kit. I had white, black and purple face paints, and I took the white colour to create a line underneath the eyes all the way across my cheeks - I then used the sponge in the kit to apply the white colour all over my face to act as the base of the look! I did two coats of the white face paint - and then I took the black paint with the small brush and painted a curved line underneath my eyes as you can see!

I then carried on with the black paint and drew a line to act as my cheekbones, and then made this line fuller to shadow out the mouth. I then started to draw on the teeth using black face paint, and also the black eyeshadow in my Saffron Barker Get Ready with Me eyeshadow palette in collaboration with Beauty Bay to add some shadowing around the teeth to give more of a skull vibe. PS. I am still a HUGE fan of this palette! I also took the black paint on my nose and on my forehead to act as veins showing, and to add to this affect I took the purple face paint and an eyeshadow brush to add shadows around the area. This was super simple but looked really effective when the whole look was finished.

I also had a pack of jewels - purple and white in the kit. I applied these on my forehead and I applied one jewel to each side of my mouth. I really liked how this turned out - and they were sticky too so you didn't need to go and buy any face paint glue or anything! I went back to my make up bag and created a black smokey eye and also applied heavily eyeliner in my waterline. I finished this off with the Benefit They're Real mascara (one of my faves - I reviewed this in a blog post here) and then I tried the Ardell demi wispie lashes for the first time. OH MY GOD - they literally are the perfect false lashes. They applied so easily (came with duo lash glue - my favourite) and they were under £5 too which I thought was a great price for lashes. However, that being said, the best priced lashes I've ever found are the Primark lashes - £1 SULTRY lashes are amazing!!! The lashes were an amazing addition to my eye look. Overall - I'm really pleased with the look!

Thank you for reading. I hope you all have had a fantastic time celebrating Halloween!
