Review: May's BirchBox

 Hello beauties,

For any of my subscribers out there regardless of what subscription service you're a member of... this time of the month is usually pretty exciting! It all starts with the email 'Your BirchBox is On its Way!' which means you your box is being handmade and it'll arrive within 5 working days... well I can tell you now for those 5 days my fingertips are always hovering over the 'track it here' button waiting to see how close it is and when it'll arrive!! It literally is so exciting receiving packages (even if you're expecting them) it always makes me happy!

In today's post I will be revealing to you the 5 luxury make-up and hair care items I received.

1. Marsk Mineral Based Eyeshadow | RRP £14.49 - Vanilla Frosting

 

Each month we are told that everyone will receive between one-two of the same products, and for this month we got the choice between vanilla frosting (the shade I picked) with is a shimmery champagne colour or, fifty shades which was a dark grey/black eyeshadow colour. I like this shade as it'll be perfect to add in the inner corner to make your eyes appear wider! TIP: wet the brush before application to make the colour more vibrant.

 

2. Benefit POREfessional Matte Rescue Invisible Finish Mattifying Gel Primer | RRP £23.50



 I have only recently jumped on the bandwagon and purchased the POREfessional primer which is AHMAZING!! so I had nothing but high hopes for this primer - I prefer the texture to this product, as it's a gel formula rather than the foundation texture of the POREfessional primer. It did the job and I tested it with aircon too, and my make-up lasted very well. I definitely would repurchase this!

 

3. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar Primer | RRP £15.00

 

I tried this out this morning, and I loved both the smell and the texture of this product, it was very light weight and did not feel sticky at all or uncomfortable to wear. It hydrated my lips and ensured my lip products stayed on without flaking. I've heard quite a lot about this brand before from watching Youtube but I hadn't tried anything, but this brand gets a thumbs up from me. Fab product!

 

4. Kueshi Shine & Volume Hair  Mask | RRP £10.50

 

I was super excited to receive a hair treatment mask in this month's box, I loved how many make-up gifts we received, but I must admit I do like new hair products too. I used this mask this evening and I can review honestly that my hair has never felt softer! It smells incredible, and that's down to the ingredients; shea butter, jojoba oil, calendula oil and rice proteins!

 

5. Doucce Punk Volumizer Mascara | RRP £18.00

 

I think I have a NEW favourite mascara - I've always loved experimenting different brands/bristle brushes to discover the best mascara and this ticks almost every single box for me. The bristles are very over-sized fibres which cling to your lashes when you wiggle the wand from root to tip of your lashes its 0he ultimate amount of volume, length and makes my lashes just look incredible. I raved about this product on my live video, and also from using it today I had lot's of compliments on my lashes.

"This month I received Doucce punk volumizer mascara it gives great long lashes and lasts all day which is great for me as I only have little eyelashes!

Marsk fifty shades eyeshadow - I used this at the weekend and I love the dark tones in it! Gave my eyes that pop out look without being over the top!Whish body cream - this has helped with my peeling skin after my holiday I got very burnt and started using this on Saturday and it calmed the redness a lot!

I also received beauty protector protect and volume spray which I shall be trying out tonight! Paula's choice liquid exfoliate which is my favourite in this month's box!"

 

Shannon's Box: "My favourite product from this month's box that I LOVE is the hydrating spring water spray which is s nice on your face. The eyeshadow is beautiful, I've worn it everyday since."

Megan's Box: (Same as mine) "I'm excited to use the hair mask today! My favourite products since joining BirchBox in March were the face wipes and eyeliner! I never use face wipes but these ones were lush, they are so nice and don't leave your face feeling sticky like other's do!"
