Hello beauties, ♥
The sun is shining, and we haven't had a football match to go to this Saturday so my boyfriend & I had the perfect excuse to get in the car and travel to a local shopping centre. I needed to pick up some drugstore make-up items for a new make-up tutorial I have planned to get up this weekend, and also couldn't resist spending my morning and afternoon in the sunshine!
I posted on my Facebook page for your recommendations of a drugstore foundation, as my next post is going to be a drugstore make-up tutorial! I honestly have not brought a foundation from Boots or Superdrug in at least 2 years as I've been hooked on my MAC studio-fix fluid foundation.

If you'd like to be an active member of our page, please hit the 'like' button to show your interest! I should of remembered how busy it would be on a Saturday afternoon! The aisles were full of different brands, and the employee's restocking the shelves and beauty-lovers filling their baskets. I should of realised I'd be picking up quite a few items and grabbed one, but no between us we managed (only because I forgot!) - and I love to look at each product and each brand as I've noticed the cheaper, more readily available products are right up there with the trends of the expensive brands which makes me so happy!
Make-up products

With the recommendations I received at work and on Facebook I came to the decision of trying the Fit Me foundation by Maybelline this retails for £5.99 and they had a 'buy 1 get 1 half price deal across the brand' so I also picked up the falsies push up angel mascara which was £7.99 and altogether I saved £3 which I thought was a fab deal... to find out my thoughts on these products and to see them on my face subscribe to my blog and read my next post.
I also needed a eye shadow palette and I've always loved Sleek make-up for eye shadow, contour and blushers - this palette is called A New Day. This is a mineral based eye shadow palette with a variety of neutral shades. I also picked up the Face contour kit by Sleek in the shade light. This is a duo-product - a pressed contouring powder and highlighter in one. The eye shadow palette retails at £8.99 and the contour palette for £6.99 altogether with the sale I saved £3.50!
Fashion & Beauty bits
from Primark:
from Primark:
Next stop, Primark! A trusty place for me to stock up on my favourite eyelashes - the Sultry lashes which I rave about all the time and they are only £1, as I walked to the till I headed past their make-up stands and staring right at me was a bright red velvet matte lipstick crayon which was only £2 an absolute bargain, very pigmented and creamy to apply. I picked up Primark's version of a beauty blender for £1.50 and a £1 white lily candle which I currently have burning whilst I'm writing this post, it's a very fresh Spring/Summer scent.
I didn't go in Primark for clothes, I actually just went in to grab a pair of lashes, but... I walked out with much more than that! I found a lovely quarter length sleeve top, which slits down either side and says New York Manhattan in an italic font for only £8. It totally caught my eye and I think this will look really nice with light-wash ripped blue jeans. I also picked up a khaki green cami-top which is perfect for layering up or throwing a leather jacket over.
Bath bombs & Bath melts
from Lush Cosmetics:
from Lush Cosmetics:
I absolutely love going into Lush, I find the staff super-helpful and approachable as they take the time to explain the purpose of each bath bomb, melts etc. to you. I picked up the intergalactic bath bomb, the melting marshmallow moment bath melt and the ups-a-daisy bathbomb. These all retail from roughly £3-£4.
I hope you enjoyed this post.
