Hey everyone, I'm bringing back the monthly favourites posts this year - I love seeing what products people have loved throughout a whole month and seeing if I want to try them too. These posts will include a mixture of everything - it could be a food I've been loving, a hobby, make-up, skincare, haircare, favourite tans, or even quotes etc. I hope you have all had an amazing January, and a great start to February! In January it was all about goal setting, planning ahead for the year, getting myself into a routine with going to the gym and with my blog too. So without any further rambling... Let's get into it! (Ps. I know we are quite into February now but I still wanted to share what products I was loving throughout January!)
Beauty Favourites...
LaSplash Cosmetics Golden Gatsby 3D Faux Mink Lashes - I got my eyelash extensions done back in December after not having them done for over a year to get ready for Christmas and our holiday to Amsterdam and since then, I've completely fallen back in love with long, fuller lashes. So, I decided to try out the Golden Gatsby Lashes from the December Glossybox and they are INCREDIBLE! They were sooo easy to apply and they are so long, full and fluttery lashes but they still look natural! I was a bit sceptical that the lashes would feel heavy however, they didn't! They felt so lightweight and lasted all evening and I got lot's of compliments too - I'll add a photo below of me wearing them. What are your favourite lashes?
MAC Lipliner in shade 'Stripdown' - I brought this lip liner whilst we were away in Amsterdam and have been using it daily since, and feel it's really improved my make up look. I have never been a huge fan of lipstick, I prefer a nice gloss and now lipliner to make my lips look fuller. The MAC lipliners are very creamy and the pigmentation is fantastic! If you have any other recommendations for lipliners I should try out please let me know as I definitely want to try more and happy to try other brands if you have some favourites!
Rose and Caramel Tanning & Tan Remover - I have been using this tanning range now since the end of November after seeing one of my favourite Instagram Bloggers share which tans she uses... and honestly Chloe's (IG - @chloeaidar1) tan always looks perfect! I'm so thankful for her sharing her tanning routine with me as it's honestly the BEST tanning range that I've tried - and you'll of seen from previous reviews, I've tried A LOT. I will include a photo of me wearing their tans (I layer two of their tans in velvety and intensity for the ultimate bronzed glow) and also I have tried their shower gel, and bubble bath fake tan removers and firstly, yes they do work and secondly... if you tan - they are an essential and honestly the LIFE CHANGER for my tanning routine. It get's rid off old tan when it goes patchy, and leaves the skin looking so fresh and prepped ready to apply your new tan. I am not going to talk too much about these products in this post, as I am planning to do a full fake tanning routine and review of their range very soon on my blog!
Skincare Favourites...
PS Soothing Eye Patches by Primark - I was stocking up on a few essentials from Primark's beauty range... you know the kind, beauty blenders, sultry eye lashes and beauty tools when I came across some of their skincare range. This product caught my eye, as I am always looking for products to conceal, reduce the appearance of under eye circles and also to hydrate that area and to brighten! This was JUST £1 for 15 treatments... what a deal! I have used these once-twice a week since the beginning of January, and love them. They have really helped to brighten my under eye area, and they're super hydrating!
Fashion Favourites...
As you'll know if you follow me on Instagram (here) then I have recently been getting into fashion, and posting more regularly on my Instagram. I brought these boots which I'm wearing in both outfits below from Newlook and they go with everything! I love that they are laced as I think it gives it still a girly/cute vibe... especially if you pair these with a nice dress and a leather jacket! They are SUPER affordable too and I have linked them on my 21 buttons (@emmapavier) where I will be sharing the details of my outfits, and the app has links for you to shop people's outfits... no more wondering and hours and hours of searching for where your fashion inspirations outfits are from! Lot's of people are using this app now and it is where I get so much inspiration from of outfits to try to style.
Food / Gym Favourites...
Oatein Millionaire Crunch (Salted Caramel) - As you'll know if you follow me on Instagram I have been sharing my fitness journey and I have also been going back to the gym and I did a leg workout with a friend recently, and she said her PT recommended a post-work out snack to try which was available to buy in Aldi. We tried it together, and it was so tasty - it really did taste like a treat! It is vegan, gluten free, has 15g of protein and is palm oil and sugar free!
Beats Headphones - I was very lucky to have received the Rose Gold Beats headphones at Christmas from my partner, wireless headphones have honestly been the best addition to helping me get fit and healthy as I can now do my runs without the headphone wires going everywhere! (I am currently training for something so I have been running a lot!!!) and they were on my wish list for years so everytime I use them now I feel so happy. The quality of beats headphones are amazing, they sit comfortably on my ears and the sound is insane.
Other...
Here are some of the favourite quotes I have seen whilst online / at gyms that have really inspired me throughout January (and still now) - "Your body is your most priceless possession so go take care of it" & "The 40% rule - when your mind is telling you that you're done, that you're exhausted, that you can't possibly go any further, you're actually only 40% done"
I hope you've enjoyed hearing about my favourite products in January 2020.
