Hi everyone, and welcome back to another blog post. In today's post I will be sharing with you, and giving my first impressions of the products I received in the February's Glossybox - this edit is called Love Crosses Borders to represent February being a month all about love. The Glossybox team have carefully selected a range of products from all across some of their favourite brands across the globe to feature in this month's box! This box is heavily beauty related (make-up and skincare) which I love both so I'm excited to try some new products from brands I haven't discovered yet. The brands in this month's box are; Figs & Rouge, StarSkin, Saint Luxe, Floss Beauty and Glossybox's own range. Just a little background if you have not heard of Glossybox yet (where have you been hiding?!) it is a monthly subscription service and you receive 5 products each month worth over £50. In this month's box we received 4 full sized products and 1 deluxe mini product. Now, hopefully you've got your cuppa at the ready, some snacks and ready to see what we've got... UNBOXING TIME!
Glow Elixir by Figs & Rouge | RRP £35
The first product I noticed was this Glow Elixir which was the 'sneak peak' item we was told about in January's Glossybox which has been newly launched. Firstly... the packaging is so cute alongside everything else in the box and the actual box. This product sounds absolutely incredible it is designed to delight and intensify skin's natural glow. It has a lovely shine and shimmer to it! This can be applied to cleansed skin before applying make-up or even just on a day to day basis for a little extra glow on our skin. You could also use this as a highlighter on your cheekbones, cupids bone and as a brow highlight. I am very impressed by this product and how amazing that the first product is worth £35!
StarSkin Plumping & Hydrating Bio-Cellulose Lip Mask | RRP £4.25 *deluxe mini*
So next up... we have a lip mask. OK, question time... how many of you have ever used a lip mask before? To be honest - I have never even heard of them before, I've used lip scrubs in the past from Lush - but never a mask! It says this is perfect as a primer for lipstick and gloss. Apply the mask to your lips and leave on for 15-20 minutes! This is a really nice product to have featured in the box - of course with the 'Valentines' theme but also this time of year, with the weather it is important to keep our lips hydrated! I tested this lip mask out whilst writing up my blog post and I must say, I am very impressed - my lips feel so much more hydrated and moisturised. I would definitely purchase this!
Lip Brush by Glossybox | RRP £5.10
This lip brush from Glossybox which has soft bristles, and has an angle so if you are wanting to use this to apply lipstick you will get a professional finish and prevents feathering. You could also use this brush for applying gel eyeliner or your eyebrow powder too! It's great to see a brush featured in this box too - as I love building up my make up brush collection - especially as this one has various uses, and trying different brands too as I have not tried any of Glossybox's own range of brushes before.
My New Favourite Lipgloss by Floss | RRP £12.30
This lipgloss is a really nice pink colour, and I'm really pleased to see a gloss in the box as I am a total fan of lipliner and lipgloss now! It is in a squeezy tube and comes with a wand applicator which applies nicely and the colour pay off is good too - the gloss is super hydrating and not sticky at all! Overall a really nice lipgloss. I have not tried any products from this brand before, which is why I LOVE my monthly glossy boxes as it is the perfect chance to try and explore a range of new beauty products and brands!
Lip Liner Duo (Crush & Cupid) by Saint Luxe | RRP £23
We then received a lip liner duo set which includes a red shade called 'Crush' and a pink shade called 'Cupid' - how cute are the names of these lip liners! The lip liner in Cupid would be really nice to line your lips, and then apply the lipgloss by Floss over the top. I am a HUGE fan of lip liners at the moment, so I am very happy to see not one, but two lip liners in this month's glossybox. If you received this month's box - which lip liner was your favourite?
Final Thoughts...
What do you think about the products in this month's box?
Firstly, I absoutley love the style and theme of the box. I feel that a lot of thought went into the design, and the products chosen which all of them I am pleased by! I can definitely pick two clear favourites from the box already, which would be the Figs & Rouge Glow Elixir and the StarSkin lip mask. The total contents of my box came to.... £76.65 which is AMAZING value for money with an amazing range of products! I'm excited to try the products out more over the next couple of weeks... and already looking forward to seeing the contents in the March glossybox!
