Follow-Me Blog | New Hair

Hi beauties, happy almost-weekend! If you haven't heard, as I think I told all of my colleagues, friends and family that I got my hair done yesterday! And of course, I had to share the experience with you all as it's the first time in 4 years I've done something different.

So yesterday (Wednesday afternoon) I was booked in to spend the afternoon with my absolute favourite lady.... my hairdresser Calley! I sat down on the chair, and said "right, let's do something different this time please" I think she was probably a little thinking "oh gosh, change, Em you sure?" as, like I said I stick to the same ALL THE TIME. I asked for a block cut which I've absolutely fallen in love with, and I wanted to go much lighter, more of an ash blonde than I have before. We discussed the options, and the block cut was a go ahead straight away, cut away all those dead ends and a good cut to leave my hair super healthy. However, the blonde I wanted to go was inspired by some of my favourite Beauty Bloggers on Instagram, wouldn't of been possible in one sitting (without massively damaging my hair) so that's going to be a gradual process this year. But, the colour is so much lighter than I've had before and I think it really suits me. It really is crazy, how having new fresh hair can make you feel so much more confident and I'll always be forever greatful that I was recommended Calley all those years ago (maybe 8/9 years ago now...) because I would NEVER trust anyone else with my hair. I will let you in to a little story time, many years ago  my Mum thought it would be a good idea to let her friends partner cut my hair whilst we were there, and this time I wanted a 'change' (thinking back, this might be why I'm scared of changing my hair) I asked for a full fringe, and I honestly was sat in the chair CRYING like a baby for hours after they showed me my hair in the mirror as it was wonky... so a piece of advice, stay loyal to your hairdressers when you find a good one! And Mum, I still love ya!

So here is my new hair guys and gals so what do you think? I posted a photo on Instagram last night and Facebook and so many of you said you loved it! So a huge thank you. I love having a pamper, the best part of getting your hair done is definitely the couple of minutes head massage right?! Thank you for reading! If you'd like to comment below any post suggestions for me please do, I have loads I've planned and will be getting up very soon... including my evening skincare routine.
