The Update: June's Weight Loss + Healthy Lifestyle Challenge

Hi angels, welcome to the last segment of my loose a stone with me challenge in June. I agreed to dedicate one whole post in this weight loss chapter to saying have I completed the challenge or not! So I'd love for you to keep on reading...
 
 
 Was it hard? How do you stay motivated? "Shakes are an awful diet" "If you eat one thing unhealthy you'll pile the weight back on" "You look great, you've lost so much weight off your face, well done!" Yes, these are all of the mixed comments I had in the last month of me working incredibly hard with my diet, well healthy lifestyle change is what I like to call it as to me a "diet" is a quick fix to loose weight and I'm so happy to say that YES I did finish the challenge I gave myself and lost a stone in a June! (I had lost a stone in May too - so currently just over 2 stone down in 2 months) I am super happy that I kept motivated, even on those rainy days where you don't want to get up I still pushed myself to do a home work-out or head to the gym. I ate as healthy as I could, stuck to having 2 shakes a salad and a main meal a day, cutting out fizzy drinks and drinking lot's of water, for exercise I went to Aquaarobics classes on Tuesday evenings and went to the gym 3-4 times a week!
 
MY top 5 tips to loose weight
 

1. Be your own motivation: do it for you we all get so obsessed with social media and trying to look like our favourite celebrity but realistically that isn't going to keep you motivated. Understand your WHY and I guarantee you'll be much more dedicated than you think!

 

2. Drink lot's of water: water is so beneficial, all of the time but especially when loosing weight and helping to clear your skin. I always drink plenty of water throughout the day as otherwise I find I start to get headaches and feel really tired!


3. Take regular before and after comparison photo's: it takes quite a long time to see your own results, I've read lot's of studies that advise it takes '4 weeks for you to see your body changing, 8 weeks for your friends and family and 12 weeks for the rest of the world' so don't give up - keep going as the end result is ALWAYS worth it!

 

4. Share your results: this can simply be with a friend, or family member but I honestly have gained about 70% of my motivation from sharing my progress on my blog and Facebook as it keeps me really determined and I get so much encouragement.
 
5. Note down your weight loss and progress: I ordered a weight loss plaque from Annabella's  which has helped me track my weight loss on a weekly basis and all time, the page has just come out with weight loss jars and I'm so excited to continue tracking my weight loss! I hope you've all enjoyed following along the journey with me! I've still got a little more weight to lose and tone before I'll be super happy but I'm now much more confident with my body shape, as you all should be with yours. We all come in different shapes and sizes and we need to learn how to love ourselves and the bodies we have. I have been overwhelmed by the support and encouragement I've had with every post I've done on my blog and Instagram, and the messages I've received from others on Facebook who are always trying to loose weight (and are doing a fab job may I add!) who have asked me for tips and share their stories with me. I'm sure I'll continue posts similar to these, as they have been popular and I've enjoyed writing them. Stay tuned for more exciting posts to come.
