Hi everyone! I am finally back sat at my computer writing a new blog post for you all. I know this may sound weird, but I have thoroughly missed blogging, but everything got pretty hectic and I decided to take a little break and come back when my belly was full of fire! So, as you're reading this, now is obviously that time. I don't want to bore you all with what's been going on, so I think i'll just share the highlights... keep on reading to hear more and please leave me a comment to say if you're excited for more posts to come!!
Back in February I decided I needed a change, and a challenge, I didn't quite know what that looked like but I was open to new ideas and opportunities and before I knew it I had a message which has led me to where I am now. The message in my inbox was regarding a job opportunity that was still in my field of work but a massive career jump and move forward. I listened to what they had to say, and sent off my application to apply, a few days later I had a phone call confirming I'd made it through the short listing process and providing me with the interview details. So, I headed off to Birmingham (first time visiting there too, and certainly won't be the last now they've launched the WORLD'S LARGEST PRIMARK!) I left feeling pleased with how it went and little did I know I SMASHED IT, I got through to the second stage and then shortly after heard I was successful. It was a difficult journey ahead, to leave my previous company which I joined at just 18 but I knew the change was going to do so much for my self-confidence and future career. If you would like any posts regarding applying for jobs, interview tips and tricks or my journey let me know.
So fast forward to the beginning of April I started my new role with a new company and things were very busy for me, I am starting to settle in now and am going to be back doing many more blog posts for you all to enjoy reading! This takes me on nicely to letting you know about the next topic... DISCOVERING A PASSION FOR PASSION!
Aye, now before anyone I know comments "still always wearing black though" i'll have you know that I now have a handful of colours and prints in my wardrobe! I've always had a passion for beauty, that's the whole reason I started this blog, to share the products I tried and tested and let you know if they were worth your money or not! That has been such an amazing, exciting journey and I have loved all of the collabs I've been able to do and will still be doing in the future. However, when starting this new role I needed to revamp my wardrobe... you know, a style that fitted the job I had! So... I discovered ONLINE SHOPPING - I don't know if that's a good thing or bad, as I seem to have 2-5 parcels arrive week in, and week out. But, there is so much more choice and a variety of styles online that you just don't get in your high street shops. I decided to scrap all of the old photographs on my instagram, and start sharing new photo's including my new wardrobe essentials for work, which is of course, a stylish blazer to share them with you all. I'm about a week into my new instagram journey and my following and engagement has gone up so much! So I decided... let's share it onto my blog too. I'll still be doing my usual beauty, tips and tricks and lifestyle posts, but I will absolutely be doing look books, hauls, styling guides and anything else you'd like to see that would fit in with my blog style for you all.
I thought the best way to start was to give you a #GIRLBOSS (and guy you can buy your own suits!) vibe outfit . . .
