Review: August's BirchBox

Hello beauties, it's BirchBox time again! Who is currently subscribed to a monthly subscription service, and if so what one? I'd love to know. This month at work, we've all been discussing which monthly subscriptions we're subscribed to, and whilst most of us have signed up to BirchBox, I discovered two other's that I'm keen to try. Firstly is the Pink Parcel Box, which is tailored to women at their time of the month, including lot's of treats to pamper yourself with during that time, and also the Cohorted Beauty Box which is more of a higher-end luxury make-up items (search it - they look incredible!!) If you're subscribed to either of these, let me know if you like them. Now, let's get into this month's BirchBox.
August's Box: Mermaid Vibes

This month's box design has been one of my favourites, the theme was 'Mermaid Vibes' - I think everyone loves the theme of mermaids and unicorns don't they? Mermaids were the inspiration behind this months box, including the products; as there is a hair product to create beachy waves, shimmering eyelids and glistening skin - the must have mermaid summer beauty goals! In this month's box everyone received either a pink or turquoise Spectrum full-size brush and a full-size LOC One & Done Shadow stick.

Contents inside my August BirchBox:

Spectrum Collection A05 Brush in Bomb Shell | RRP £54.99 (For Set!)

This is the second brush from Spectrum I have received since having BirchBox, and I couldn't be happier to get another one. The brushes are beautifully designed - I love the pastel pink colour of the brush handle. This brush is perfect for powder products, I'd personally use this for applying blusher, bronzer of highlighter. This brush has been precisely shaped tip and soft tapered bristles.

LOC One and Done Shadow Stick in Rock Steady | RRP £8

This brand is new to me, this is the first product of there's I've tried. The formulation of this shadow stick is very creamy and pigmented, as you can see from the photo below I got the darker shade (as you, and BirchBox know from my beauty profile I love a smokey eye look!) - this is a long lasting eyeshadow, that doesn't crease and blends effortlessly. This shadow stick claims to last for 11 hours without creasing and is a waterproof colour.

Number 4 Sugar Texturizing Spray | RRP £20

This box wouldn't of been complete without a beachy texturizing spray in-line with the mermaid theme, right? You can apply this to dry or wet hair to create loose, effortless beachy waves (perfect for a no-heat day in Summer!) I like to use my hair products when my hair is damp. This hair spray is designed to keep your hair in place regardless of the humidity in the air.

Merci Handy Hand Cleansing Gel in Assorted Scents | RRP £2.90

I absolutely love travel sized hand sanitizer, this one from Merci Handy reminds me of the Bath and Body Works ones! This has been perfect to through in my handbag while I pop out at the weekends, or go to work keeping them healthy and clean. This product is also packed with vitamins to hydrate and nourish your hands too.

Huygens Supernature Cream | RRP £25 (BirchBox Exclusive!)

One of the best selling points to me about BirchBox's monthly subscription service was trying a huge range of products, at all different price ranges. This cream is exclusive to BirchBox and retails for £25 so I was excited to try a sample of this, it claims to hydrate your skin which I agree it does do. This product is also packed with organic rose water to boost circulation and soothe redness and naturally smooth away dead skin cells for instant radiance. I'm excited to continue using this, and seeing how I get on with it.

Thank you for reading.

If you get BirchBox too, did you enjoy the products this month?
