Review & Haul: The BirchBox Shop

Hi everyone,

For today's post I am going to show you all what I have purchased recently using my Birch Box points. I have subscribed to BirchBox's monthly subscription service (search Review or BirchBox in the search bar of my blog to see what's inside my boxes) and as a bonus to being apart of this subscription service, you can review the products in each month's box and also refer your friends to earn points and money to spend in their online shop!

There are so many brands to choose from, ranging from make-up tools, cosmetics, hair care and skin care products to spend your money on. I had built up quite a lot of points and decided to treat myself with some new products. I just want to give some kind of idea about how amazing the BirchBox point scheme is - ask yourself, could you have purchased all of the make-up below with £11 of your own money?! I'm pretty sure you couldn't! and if you love trying out new make-up and brands, the whole BirchBox scheme is fantastic. If you have any questions feel free to leave me a message and I will answer them.

Here is a sneak peak of what I brought below:

Benefit They're Real Mascara:
RRP £20.50

I have always loved this mascara, it really is a make-up must have in your collection. This mascara meets the expectations that Benefit have set out on their packaging; creating dramatic lashes, giving a base-to-tip curl, visibility lifting your individual lashes and being a long-lasting mascara.

For me, I love the wand of this mascara which is designed to lengthen the lashes and add a lot of volume, and I can confirm it defiantly does!

This mascara also gives some perfect handy tips about how to hold the wand when applying mascara to your lashes to enhance the overall look. I won't be without this mascara again!

Benefit POREfessional primer:
RRP £24.00

I have heard a lot of youtubers and beauty blogger's rave about this primer, and I have also heard some negative reviews (like with any product!) however, I wanted to still try it out for myself! I have been going crazy finding the perfect prep and finishing products and I must say I am a fan of this primer. The balm formula of this primer promises to minimize the appearance of your pores.

This primer has a silky texture, a lightweight formula to minimize the appearance of both pores and fine lines which overall leaves you with smoother skin and a perfect base to then apply your foundation on it. I used this primer whilst getting ready this morning and I only have a few blemishes on my chin and you cannot see them, it also covered my chicken pox scar (I got chicken pox when I was 14?!! Crazy right!)

Beauty Blender & Blender Cleanser Solid:
RRP £26.00

I am still fairly a 'newbie' when it comes to beauty blenders, I have still been obsessed with my Nanshy face brushes so have only tried beauty blenders a few times, and I started off by using a cheap one from Primark - which worked very well! (I may do a comparison of the real beauty blender 'vs' dupe versions of the beauty blenders - let me know if you would like that post to go up!!)

This blender has been created in the shape of an egg, to eliminate visible lines and streaks - it is a new beauty tool perfect for applying conceal and foundation as the shape of the sponge is perfect for getting into smaller parts of your features. I will try this out and let you know how I get on with this beauty tool! I have high hopes based on the reviews - also because I had over £50 worth of make-up in my basket I got this blender and solid cleanser completely for FREE.

WHEN 10:00PM Sheet Mask:
RRP £7.00

I was unsure what else to purchase on my online shopping trip, so I pondered across the skincare section and found this sheet mask - ever since trying out the Keeome sheet mask in a recent BirchBox I have converted to using sheet masks rather than actual face masks, they are so refreshing and have so many amazing benefit's to making my skin feel super clean and fresh.

This face mask is a bio-cellulose sheet mask which contains gentle, moisturizing ingredients to help your skin looking refreshed, I have put this aside for a pamper evening when I will do a fresh fake tan, facial treatments and a lovely bath bomb to de-stress and feel fully pampered like a princess. Why? because, we deserve it!

Here is my make-up look I created on a live video on my Facebook page on Friday evening, using the Benefit They're Real mascara! I also had my brows perfected by a local salon, I had my eyebrows threaded to shape them and tinted to add more definition - I am really happy with them, as you can see after my live video yesterday I rewarded myself with a glass of summer fruits wine whilst working on my beauty blog!! I hope you all enjoyed reading about the make-up I have purchased.
