It's that crazy time of the month again, where we take a few moments to reflect that we are even further in the year of 2017. April is the month of birthday's in my family; we celebrated my nephew turning one and having his first birthday which included lot's and lot's of toys! I also had both of my parent's birthday's in the same month too - so safe to say I did a lot of shopping. I always find it a lot harder to buy presents for the men in your life than the women - maybe because I have more interest in girly presents but my Dad was pleased with money for his boating trip.
I also hosted an Easter Egg hunt at my Nan and Granddad's house for my nephews and had a lovely time with my family, for me, Easter is all about spending time with your loved ones and making those precious memories so my heart was pretty content that weekend.
I brought everything from the Card Factory which included bunting, Easter egg baskets and much more! - Here are a few photo's from that weekend:
Avon MagiX HD finish powder -
This has been a new discovery for me this month and I absolutely love it - my Mum receives the Avon catalogue all the time, and purchases from it regularly, so when she showed me the recent catalogue I was hooked that a lot of the cosmetics they were featuring were being raved about! This is a transparent powder that sets your make-up in place, the HD aspect of the powder will be good for photo's.
Benefit They're Real mascara -
I purchased this mascara last week (so technically it still counts as part of April's favourites) and I have loved this mascara in the
past before, but haven't seemed to repurchase it after falling in love with my MAC mascara, well using my BirchBox points I rekindled my love for this lengthens ands volume - there's not much to say about this mascara other than it does everything you want a mascara to do, and it honestly makes your lashes look as if you are wearing false lashes or lash extensions.
MAC Mineralised Skin finish in Soft and Gentle -
I have started to film live videos over on my Facebook page this month (I really enjoyed it, after all those years practising in my bedroom wanting to be a Youtuber!) and I wanted to use a highlighter - now, I'm not sure as to why because I've not really used highlighter in quite a while but, when I do I always reach for this pretty shimmery number from MAC cosmetics. I was gifted this from my parents when they went on holiday my Mum called me in Duty Free asking if I wanted any MAC products, now usually being woken up super early can make us grouchy but when you know make-up is involved I could've screamed with excitement (then it's back to reality waking the week for them to return to open it up!!)
Avon nutraeffects tinted moisturiser -
I have discovered a new favourite fake tan recently which meant my foundation colour would not match me on the days when I wear tan, so my Mum showed me a new product she has been using now the weather is better (England may actually see sunshine this year, we've been off on a good start so far!) which she thought I may like to try to help give my skin more of a sunkissed glow - I will most definitely be purchasing one of these myself after using my Mum's and using this more and more in the Summer. I mixed this in with my foundation and it created the perfect colour to match my skintone, the producy also has an SPF of 20 so it will add some protection to your skin on those sunny days (still prep with a suncream though!) I cannot
rave about this enough.
Sleek Face Contour Kit in light -
This contour palette is perfect for contouring your cheekbones, nose and jawline and ensuring your face is bronzed. I like this contour kit as it is a matte colour as I find shimmery bronzers on myself can make me look more like a disco ball and not very nice at all, so I steer clear and only use the matte shades at the moment, again this is a new product to me this month as I wanted to start adding more drugstore products into my routine as they are more affordable, and sometimes, just as good as the higher end brands. I am a fan of this contour powder, and will continue to use it - I am still yet to repurchase my high-end Nars Laguna bronzing powder but since trying this I am slightly more on the fence as there is a massive price different so for now I will keep using this one.

Inspiration Book - Health & Fitness -
I have been on a health kick journey over the last few years, learning more about nutrition and what it is exactly that I'm putting into my body, alongside that, I am also going to the gym regularly and choosing better choices of having a healthier lifestyle than a 5 minute 'diet' - my friends at work and I have started the 30 day squat challenge, downloaded the My Fitness Pal app to track our calorie intake and exercise for each day! I have also created shake recipes, meal ideas and stages of my weight loss on a weekly basis to support and motivate myself!
